Meet

Pastor Kelly Jones

Pastor Kelly Jones, Sr. comes from a lineage of pastors, elders, ministers, and church workers. Born in Hartford CT, he is the twin son of the late Rev. Betty Sue Jones. She instilled the importance of “Family Prayer” from an early age; a practice he still believes in today. Rev. Betty Sue Jones was a pastor and co-worker in the church and held many other positions as well. She made her home available to those in need. She also opened her home for church services in support and start-up of one the finest churches in the city of Springfield.

At the age of 9, Pastor Jones received the baptism of the Holy Ghost during an evening youth tarry service. As exampled by their mother, he and his siblings became active participants of the church; this included singing, playing instruments, participating in youth programs, traveling with the church ministry, and the list goes on.

About

Grace Fellowship Sanctuary

... Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives BIRTH to her children.”

Labor pain always precede birth. Likewise was Grace Fellowship Sanctuary birthed by the Grace and Will of God in the heart of Pastor Kelly Jones Sr. Although a blessed family, God allowed Pastor Jones and his wife to experience many of life’s diverse hardships. From having a child diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy to Financial hardships. From ministry hurts and transitions to having a career on the Fire Department that witnesses first-hand the pain and struggle of everyday people in our community. With each adversity Pastor Jones and his wife firmly recall and believe that it was God that brought them through. As God brought them through, He encouraged them to remember where he had brought them from. It was in 2013, during one of the heaviest times in the life of Pastor Jones when God imparted (gave birth) into his spirit the command to start a ministry that would reach people in areas familiar with their struggles. While trying to avoid this calling the lord continued to deal with Pastor Jones. In early 2014 he and his wife went into consecration and after several months Pastor Jones accepted his calling. Pastor Jones recalls it as “a weight being lifted off my shoulders”. When he shared this with his wife she said the Lord had already revealed it to her.

As the lord dealt with Pastor Jones the lord showed him the vision for the church.

  • A place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.
  • To bring awareness for the inclusion of the disabled, and their families in all places of worship. Thereby, providing opportunity for all to experience the love, healing, and power of God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Share the Good News of the Gospel.
  • New members are welcomed into fellowship with other believers in a loving atmosphere of worship, learning, laughing, and living in harmony together till He comes.
  • Developing people to spiritual maturity through Bible studies, small groups, seminars, retreats, etc. Equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents God gave them.
  • To provide support and services to our community by sharing the love of God through faith-based programs and initiatives. This includes our new program “Help for the Helpers”. A faith-based alternative support group offered to Fire, Police, and EMS responders, and Correctional Officers suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as, support programs for single-parent families and Mothers of disabled children.

Pastor Jones is determined that by the help of the Lord the Vision will be brought into Manifestation. The message: No matter what you’re going through, God is able!
